Job summary

GM Defense seeks a Serviceability Design Engineer to manage serviceability and remanufacturability aspects across GM Defense programs and customer variants. You will participate in engineering meetings to address service issues per GM best practices and ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities include delivering service parts, tools, diagnostics, and manuals, while collaborating with management, engineering, and field teams to ensure readiness and cost-effective serviceability during design

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or related field.
Experience in serviceability engineering, field service, or product support.
Ability to read engineering schematics and understand service information.

Responsibilities

Lead Service Parts BOM development and support tools and procedures.
Provide technical support for multiple teams (Program Management, Product Engineering, Parts Release, Remanufacturing, Service Training, Warranty Center, Technical Assistance, Assembly Plants, Field Support, Suppliers).
Identify and address service issues; communicate with internal and external customers; stay updated on new tech and practices.
