Job summary

Carlock Automotive Group is partnering with Volkswagen of Cool Springs to develop a future Volkswagen Technician through an Express Technician program. You will learn fundamentals, gain hands-on experience, and progress toward Apprentice and Certified VW Technician roles.

We seek motivated, coachable candidates with a drive to grow into a professional automotive career. The program includes training, mentorship, and clear advancement within a high-volume, high-standard service environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (manual transmission preferred)
• Ability to follow written instructions and established procedures
• Familiarity with basic automotive service
• Prior tech school or mechanical experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with multipoint inspections and learning VW processes
• Record brake pad and tire tread measurements accurately
• Perform oil and filter services efficiently
• Support advisors by communicating additional needs clearly
• Identify safety or maintenance concerns for customers
• Learn VW tools, diagnostics, and procedures from mentors
• Follow dealership and manufacturer safety and quality standards

What You’ll Do (and What You’ll Learn)

You’ll master the fundamentals of professional VW service while supporting our shop’s workflow:

• Perform multipoint inspections with video (a core VW standard)

• Record accurate brake pad and tire tread measurements

• Complete oil and filter services efficiently and correctly

• Support our advisors by clearly communicating additional needs

• Identify safety or maintenance concerns that protect our customers

• Learn VW processes, tools, and diagnostics from experienced mentors

• Follow strict dealership & manufacturer safety and quality standards

This is hands-on, real-world technician development — not just oil changes.
