Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $17.74 - $26.59/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Headquartered in Indianapolis, Fleet Services by Cox Automotive (FSCA) has grown to become one of the largest fleet maintenance companies in the country. FSCA is the leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide, offering mobile on-site fleet service for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. FSCA also services customers utilizing its 20+ nationwide service centers; each offering accident repair, painting, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair. We are supported by a 24/7 in-house call-center and provide scheduled maintenance services and unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime.

FSCA is currently hiring a Service Writer II to support the growth of the company.

Responsibilities
  1. Create vehicle repair service estimates based on information from Mobile Technicians and Customers.
  2. Communicate and deliver quotes professionally to customers.
  3. Act as a trustworthy advocate for customers by providing guidance and advice on technical inquiries or questions related to products and services.
  4. Follow up on outstanding quotes and prioritize workflow for effectiveness.
  5. Gather miscellaneous information and parts pricing from manufacturers and vendors.
  6. Review, revise, and generate repair estimates at customer request and specifications.
  7. Move and park units as part of the intake process.
  8. Input Repair Orders into the company system (Pulse).
Education
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
  • Seven (7) years of experience as an Estimator in a diesel vehicle service environment preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Mitchell One, Pulse, or similar systems.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, phone) and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills (MS Office, emails, typing) and software navigation.
  • Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic and the ability to diagnose problems are preferred but not required.

Drug Testing

Pre-employment drug test required. Cox Automotive does not currently test for marijuana. Possession or use of illegal drugs during work hours or on company property is prohibited.

  • Minimum of 6.67 hours of paid time off per month and seven paid holidays annually.
