Job summary

Workstream in Downey, California is hiring a Service Valet. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles, driving them to appropriate locations in the parking lot, and ensuring a professional appearance in the service department. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service experience, and a valid driver's license. Job description

Service Valet

Hourly Rate: $18.00 to $20.00. Position is 100% on-site.

Essential Duties

• Installs and removes disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tags in all the vehicles brought in for service.
• Ensure cleanliness of vehicles before they are delivered to customers to include washing and vacuuming as needed.
• Drives vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Maintains the parking lot in a neat and organized manner.
• Ensure that all the vehicles in the service parking lot are kept locked.
• Assists in moving disabled vehicles in or around the service department.
• Retrieves customer vehicles from the parking lot, as needed.
• Delivers and picks up guests, as needed.
• Helps maintain a professional appearance of the service departments and the courtesy van.
• Inspects each vehicle for lot damage that may have occurred during the vehicle's stay in the service department.
• May be required to record any external vehicle damage (i.e., scratches, dents) and vehicle information on check-in sheet and submit to designated personnel.
• Must follow all company safety policies, operations and practices.
• Assists in all other areas of the service department, as needed.
• Maintains high ethical standards.
• Maintains professional appearance at all times.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, desired.
• Entry level; less than 12 months of automotive valet services experience.
• Minimum of six (6) months customer service experience, desired.
• Excellent guest relations skills.
• Ability to coordinate activities with other employees; pay attention to detail; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
