Job summary

Stapp Interstate Toyota, Inc. is seeking a organized and motivated Toyota Certified Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles in our express service department.

You will work in a family-owned dealership with opportunities for growth and hands-on Toyota training. The role requires a minimum of 3 ASE certifications, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting while delivering high-quality service to customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 ASE certifications required.
• Experience with automotive repair, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to learn Toyota training modules on-site.]
• Toyota Training on-site knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle service problems and perform repairs to standards.
• Provide labor and time estimates for repairs to service advisors and customers.
• Maintain documentation of repair activities and parts used.
• Test-drive vehicles and verify component performance after service.
• Complete repairs under warranty per manufacturer specifications.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Toyota Certified Service Technician will diagnose vehicle service problems and make necessaryrepairs in a professionalmanner and quality.

Toyota Certified technician with a minimum of 3 ASE certifications.

Detailed and efficient, 2 plus years of experience with knowledge in all aspectsof automotive repair, maintenance, diagnostic, engine, transmission, electrical, steering & suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

You continuously learn new technical information through Toyota Training and on-sitetraining.

You are reliable individual with a strong workethic.

Fast paced environment and manage priorities.

Update on vehicle mechanical operations.

Update to date on all E-Learning Toyota Modules.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform specific work on maintenance and repair orders efficiently and follow dealership standards.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs and explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Advise ASM of needed repairs with parts and labor.
• Advise of any changes or deviations from the original repair instructions on the repair order or the vehicle.
• Advise ASM through communication if any additional service is needed and estimate of the time required to complete repairs.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Perform quality repairs; have a "fix the vehicle right the first time" mentality.
• Complete comprehensive documentation of cause/correction, specifications, and other pertinent information to describe repair activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience as a service technician
• 3 ASE certifications
• Valid in-state driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
