Crown Toyota in Decatur, IL is seeking an ASE-certified Automotive Service Technician to join our service department. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles per Toyota specifications while upholding quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Current ASE certification in applicable automotive service areas.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician in a dealership or professional repair facility.
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use professional diagnostic tools, scan tools, and electronic service information systems.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs.

Responsabilités

• Perform vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to Toyota specifications and dealership standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems accurately and efficiently.
• Code and document diagnostic notes and repair actions clearly and promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and comply with safety standards.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repair effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate findings with service advisors and obtain needed parts.
• Stay current with Toyota training and ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs in accordance with Toyota specifications and dealership standards
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems accurately and efficiently
• Perform advanced advanced troubleshooting using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment and service information
• Complete multi-point inspections and clearly document vehicle conditions and recommend repairs
• Identify additional maintenance and repair needs and communicate findings accurately to service advisors
• Maintain high standards for repair quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts
• Tag & save parts, turn in parts, if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer
• Complete repair orders, diagnostic notes, and required documentation accurately and promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair has addressed customer complaint
• Stay current with Toyota technical training, ASE certification, and evolving automotive technology
• Work collaboratively with service advisors, parts personnel, technicians, and management to maintain efficient workflow
• Take ownership of assigned work and ensure repair are completed correctly and within established time expectations

Qualifications

• Current ASE certification in applicable automotive service areas
• Proven experience as an automotive technician in a dealership or professional repair facility
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and electrical, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to use professional diagnostic tools, scan tools, and electronic service information systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality repairs
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented service department
• Professional communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Must have own tools
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs
