Custom Truck One Source is seeking a Service Technician for our Sacramento, CA location. The role covers diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel utility trucks and related equipment to ensure reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualified candidates will have experience with diesel equipment, a high school diploma or equivalent, and own tools. The position offers hourly pay, full-time hours, and benefits including healthcare and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment.
• General mechanical aptitude / knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm, or truck.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document repair activity.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
• Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, hydraulics and electrical knowledge beneficial.
• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace parts for various manufacturers to meet quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs.
• Submit work/repair orders to supervisor for approval to manage budgets and costs.
• Perform duties in a safe work environment and attend monthly safety meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Service Technician – Utility Trucks & Diesel Equipment

Full Time Non-Exempt [Hourly] Technical Sacramento, CA, Sacramento, CA, US

Salary Range: $26.00 To $36.00 Hourly

Custom Truck One Source "CTOS" is located at 7473 Reese Road, Sacramento, California 95828

Experience with truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes; construction, mining, farm equipment.

• Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with overtime as needed.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and mechanics tools.

Job Duties:

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
• Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, and background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.
• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
• Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
• Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
• Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Skills:

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment. (construction, farm, military)
• General mechanical aptitude / knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm, or truck
• Basic Computer skills and ability to document repair activity.

Preferred Skills:

• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
• 3 plus years maintenance and repair of Utility Trucks and Equipment.
• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must have your own tools.
