Job summary

Allegion plc is hiring a Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance and service on Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment in the Kentucky area, including Louisville or Lexington. The role requires climbing, lifting up to 75 lbs, and maintaining strong customer relations.

You will work with a team to ensure safety standards, keep records up-to-date, and stay current with equipment and ANSI/156.10 updates. A HS diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
Frequent climbing ladders and standing on concrete for long periods.
Able to lift 50–75 lbs and work in various climates and overhead.
Flexible schedule including nights/weekends/on-call.

Responsibilities

Service and perform preventive maintenance on Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and related electro/mechanical systems.
Record productive time, travel time, and parts used accurately for each job.
Maintain accurate service records and inventory for each vehicle.
Stay updated on changes to Stanley equipment and ANSI/156.10 standards.
Keep manuals current and maintain company vehicles and tools.
Uphold excellent customer relations and assist others in install/service methods.

Service Technician – Stanley Access Technologies - Kentucky (Louisville or Lexington area)

What You Will Do:

To service and perform preventative maintenance as required for Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment as may be sold or serviced by the branch.

Perform service and repair work as designated in profitable and proper manner. Record productive time versus travel time.
Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with service program designated for specific customer.
Maintain accurately all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedure.
Keep updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and Ansi156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property in proper manner.
Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log.
Maintain good customer relations and customer service
Assist and instruct others in install / service methods.

What You Need To Succeed:

HS Diploma or Equivalent is required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Clean Driving Record & Valid Driver's License.
Frequently going up and down ladders.
Standing on Concrete several hours a day
Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, kneel or crawl, twisting spine.
Ability to work in various climates.
Ability to work overhead.
Ability to lift and/or carry weight up to 50-75lbs.
Flexible work schedule is a must: ability to work nights and/or weekends, or On Call as necessary.

Additional Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

Prior experience servicing automated doors
Prior experience in the Construction Field installing door frames and windows
Associates Degree in related electrical, mechanical, industrial field preferred
Prior experience in the Electrical, Automotive, HVAC, or Communication Field a plus
Prior experience as a Glazier installing glass doors or windows and carpentry experience a plus.
