Job summary

Willoughby Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. in New Orleans, LA is seeking a full-time roofing technician to support maintenance and repairs. The role involves following WRSM and OSHA safety requirements, laying out materials, and ensuring roofs protect buildings from weather.

You will perform tests, patch roof systems, operate hand tools and vehicles, and collaborate with the service and project teams to meet daily goals. Travel may be required, in-state or out-of-state, for various assignments.

Responsibilities

• Follow all WRSM, OSHA and owner safety requirements
• Use basic skills to communicate and use simple tools and measuring devices to assist with roof maintenance and repairs
• Lay out materials needed to complete the job
• Clean-up work area after finishing the job
• Repair or replace broken materials
• Remove debris from roofs to place materials
• Ensure roofs protect buildings from weather conditions, such as rain or snow
• Follow safety rules
• Operate Vehicles, mechanized devices, equipment, and hand tools
• Perform test cut in various roof systems and properly patch
• Communicate with the Service Manager, Service Supervisor and Project Supervisor in order to complete the daily project goals
• Available to travel, in and out-of-state for both short and long-term assignments
