Job Details: Job Location: Tampa, FL - Tampa, FL 33601, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: High School, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Construction, Job Summary: Plans and coordinates activities concerned with the installation, repair and maintenance of residential roofing systems, investigating and resolving customer reports of problems with repair and maintenance or materials, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem.


• Performs routine service calls and performs repairs as needed; maintenance as needed.


• Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action.


• Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs.


• Provides on-site assistance to help troubleshoot and repair roofing systems.


• Maintains records of performance reports.


• Analyzes reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, and recommends modifications to eliminate future problems.


• Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.


• Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Excellent time management skills with proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.


• Thorough understanding of homebuilding process, specifically roofing and/or siding.


• Thorough understanding of construction industry safety and health laws, regulations and policies.


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).


• At least 3 years of roofing experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds at times.


• Must be able to climb ladder and traverse roof at times.


• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of construction site in various types of weather.
