Scout Surface Solutions LLC in Midland, TX, is seeking a Field Technician to provide routine maintenance and field support for Scout products on customer locations and Scout sites. You will train customers, perform inspections, and document activities to ensure quality service.

Responsibilities include field and shop support, 24/7 on-call rotations, equipment mobilization, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Qualifications

• Field experience in oil & gas or equipment service settings is preferred.
• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

JOB SUMMARY

To provide routine maintenance and field support for Scout's products. This includes both service calls on customer locations and service performed at Scout location. Providing product operating instructions, training, and best practices to all Scout Customers. Conducting and documenting routine maintenance and inspections.

Responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Provide field and shop support for Scout products and services.
• Participate in scheduled 24/7/365 on-call support rotations.
• Assist with equipment mobilization, installation, operation, troubleshooting, repairs, and demobilization.
• Perform hands-on equipment repairs both in the field and in the shop.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Complete service tickets accurately and on time.
• Report quality issues and customer feedback promptly.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory at Scout facilities and customer job boxes.
• Perform rebuilding and recertification of PRVs, BOVs, and DCUs.
• Document maintenance activities and inventory usage via Scout's asset tracking software.
• Conduct painting, pressure washing, and pressure testing as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including shop areas and company vehicles.
• Participate in required training (HSE, operational, and customer-mandated).
• Complete all administrative tasks and documentation accurately and on time.
• Support Scout field and shop operations as needed.

Education and Experience

• Previous field experience in a related oil & gas or equipment service role required.
• General knowledge of frac operations preferred.
• Experience with electrical or hydraulic systems strongly preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• High school or GED required.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Strong technical problem-solving abilities and mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• Clean driving record with no major moving violations or DUI/DWI convictions within the past 36 months.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrates initiative, dependability, credibility, and professional work habits.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, results-driven, and maintains a positive, action-focused attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Physically capable of lifting 70 lbs. from a height of no less than 36 inches.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight stays.
• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time operating a motor vehicle to and from field job locations.
• Ability to work in challenging outdoor field and shop environments.
