Job summary

EverGRO is seeking a Service Technician (Propane) to install, maintain and repair propane and/or oil systems for customers. The role involves independent work on local routes with on-call rotations and potential training for diesel/gasoline tanks.

A company service vehicle is provided, and advancement opportunities exist within a cooperative framework. Qualified applicants have Class A or B CDL, 2+ years of service/maintenance experience, HazMat and Tanker endorsements or ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Class A or Class B CDL is required.
• Minimum two years in service technician/maintenance roles.
• Endorsements or ability to obtain HazMat and Tanker within 60 days.
• Ability to work a 24/7 on-call rotation and pursue propane/petroleum certs.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform installation, maintenance and repair of propane/oil systems.
• Possibly repair diesel or gasoline tanks and equipment.
• Handle customer requests on energy products and services.
• Operate safely with company equipment and adhere to DOT and policies.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

This position will be tasked with the following key objectives:

• Operate company equipment safely, aligned with DOT regulation, company policies and other local/state traffic laws
• Interact and communicate professionally with customer and business partners
• Maintain regular communication with leadership and dispatch coordinator
• Read and efficiently interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, manuals, engineering specifications, diagrams, meters, gauges, and control panels to perform installation and repair equipment

Some positions will have the following work environment qualities.

• This role will primarily be driving a company commercial motor vehicle, working outdoors potentially on customer work orders, which would experience seasonal temperature and humidity elements

• Class A or Class B CDL
• At least two years of working experience within a service technician/maintenance related position
• HazMat & Tanker Endorsements or ability to obtain within 60-days of employment
• Ability and willingness to work a 24/7 on‑call rotation
• Ability and willingness to obtain Petroleum and/or Propane Certification
• Preferred working experience within a professional CDL or service technician/maintenance or related experience
• Dedication to safety and compliance
• A passion and enthusiasm to work with our cooperative customers to help improve and overcome any challenges related to their needs
• A desire to learn, grow and work as a cross‑functional team member with other divisions within EverGRO
