Shenandoah Ag Supply, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., seeks a Service Technician with strong customer service and hands-on experience to join our Laurel, DE location working on poultry equipment.

You will diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems in poultry facilities, advise customers on parts and equipment, and coordinate warranty claims with the in-store team. A safe driving record and knowledge of poultry production are valued, with vendor training opportunities offered.

Qualificações

• Ability to use tools for electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs.
• Approved safe driving record.
• Familiarity with poultry production industry and local producers preferred.
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry facilities.
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with systems in poultry facilities (ventilation, feeding/watering, heating) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Understand repair needs of Shenandoah Ag Supply customers and recommend parts/equipment.
• Bill customers for service work hours.
• Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in poultry facilities.
• Coordinate warranty claims with in-store team.

Job Summary: Shenandoah Ag Supply, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking a Service Technician with excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems to join the team at our Laurel, DE location.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.

• Work with Shenandoah Ag Supply customers to understand their repair needs
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available at Shenandoah Ag Supply with which their needs can be addressed
• Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area poultry facilities
• Properly bill customers for service work hours
• Work with the Shenandoah Ag Supply in-store team to manage warranty claims
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered by Shenandoah Ag Supply and by it’s vendors

Skill/Knowledge Required:

• Ability to use tools associated with the repair of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
• Approved safe driving record
• Familiarity with the poultry production industry and the poultry producers in the area preferred
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry production facilities
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment is required
• Prior experience working with the systems found in modern poultry facilities (e.g. ventilation, feeding/watering, heating…) is preferred
