Job summary

Porsche of Walnut Creek, part of Sonic Automotive, is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards while delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Full-time, flat-rate hourly pay from $33.00 to $55.00, with comprehensive benefits, ongoing training, and a collaborative, performance-driven work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years automotive technician experience in a franchised dealership
• Strong diagnostic, repair, and maintenance skills across electrical, engine, drivetrain, suspension, and brake systems
• ASE certifications and/or manufacturer-specific certifications preferred; willingness to pursue additional training
• Ability to perform repairs efficiently while meeting flat-rate productivity and quality standards
• Proficiency using diagnostic equipment and dealership service systems

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.

Compensation

• $33.00 to $55.00 per flat rate hourly

(The Service Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $33.00 and $55.00.)

Schedule

• Full Time
• Monday through Saturday availability
• Sundays off
