Job summary

Stancil Services is seeking a service technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing issues under warranty. You will diagnose common and diverse emergencies and perform plumbing services in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations.

The role requires high school completion, knowledge of plumbing materials, ability to read blueprints, and strong communication skills. OSHA10 is preferred; valid driver's license and clean MVR are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing tools and materials, including pipe fittings and sizes.
  • Able to pass a physical examination and obtain medical clearance.
  • Knowledge of water and ventilation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Physical strength & dexterity; valid US driver’s license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a variety of plumbing emergencies efficiently and professionally.
  • Install pipes, drainage systems, sinks, toilets, and trim fixtures.
  • Test systems for leaks and other problems.
  • Follow health and safety codes at all times.
  • Inspect and advise warranty representative and service coordinator.
  • Select cost-effective, quality products for installation/repair.
  • Collaborate with electricians, construction pros, and other teams.
  • Communicate with clients when timelines extend.

A service technician is a warranty-based position that is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing issues. This position will diagnose common and diverse plumbing emergencies efficiently, accurately and perform plumbing services. Ensure that our customers are satisfied and that all work is completed in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations.

Essential Job Functions
  • Handling a variety of plumbing emergencies efficiently and professionally.
  • Installing pipes, drainage systems, sinks, toilets, and knowledge of trim fixtures.
  • Testing systems for leaks and other problems.
  • Obeying health and safety codes at all times.
  • Performing inspections and providing advice to warranty representative and service coordinator.
  • Selecting the most cost-effective, quality products for installation and repair.
  • Working alongside electricians, construction workers, and other professionals.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, especially when a job is taking longer than expected.
  • Being polite and respectful of clients and their homes at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Training:
  • High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., GED, college, technical or trade school transcript, foreign equivalency, etc.).
  • Have basic knowledge of tools and plumbing materials, including knowledge of fitting sizes and types of piping.
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination and obtain a medical card
  • Sound knowledge of water and ventilation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strength and dexterity.
  • A polite manner and excellent customer service skills.
  • Motivated and work well with others.
  • OSHA10 preferred.
  • Willingness to embrace change in a growing company.
  • Valid US driver’s license and a clear MVR (motor vehicle report) in order to be approved through the Company’s insurance provider for driving status
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination and obtain a medical card

Working Environments And Conditions
  • This position requires working in an outdoors environment.
  • Individuals may be exposed to varying temperatures including very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) and all-weather conditions.
  • Individuals may be exposed to cramped workspaces, contaminants, extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
