Job summary

Kalispell Ford is seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our Ford service team in Kalispell, MT. You will diagnose, repair, and service dealership vehicles, while delivering honest, high-quality customer care and collaborating with teammates.

We value ASE certification, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop. Own tools are required; training and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• ASE Certification within 4 years or per management discretion
• High school diploma, GED or vocational training
• Teamwork approach and can-do attitude
• Your own repair tools
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment independently
• Ability to interpret installation instructions, diagrams and schematics
• Strong technical skills and intense desire to learn
• Communication skills and a professional demeanor
• Sense of humor and motivation to learn with a team

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and inspect guest concerns per repair order notes
• Communicate with guests and team leads to determine nature of mechanical problems through all means; i.e. inspections, test drives, advisor or customer statements
• Perform any/all needed repairs and work as outlined on repair orders from team leads with efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with all service and parts teams to understand needs & provide expert service and advice for guests and dealership vehicles
• Take initiative to work with service/shop teammates and manufacturer to troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the process
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed
• Keep up-to-date with the latest mechanical techniques through ongoing training and professional development
• Provide excellent customer service to dealership teammates and dealership guests
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
