Job summary

AMIT GPS & NAVIGATION LLP is seeking a skilled Marine NAVCOM technician to install and maintain navigation equipment across offshore projects. The role requires hands-on experience with radar, ECDIS, and related NAVCOM gear, plus the ability to follow client instructions and safety procedures.

The candidate should have a Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication and 1–3 years in the marine field; a GMDSS certificate is desirable, with a driving license considered a plus.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the marine field.
  • GMDSS operator certificate is desirable.
  • Valid GCC driving license is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Install marine navigation equipment including radar, sonar, gyrocompasses, autopilots, ECDIS, GMDSS, etc.
  • Perform predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance of NAVCOM equipment.
  • Be competent with marine equipment and integrated systems in line with experience and qualifications.
  • Maintain diagnostic and operational tools, support, and test equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and timely repairs.
  • Carry out exact isolation and disconnection procedures.
  • Respond promptly to problems according to approved procedures.
  • Maintain logs of faults, resolutions, and maintenance.
  • Attend offshore jobs as required.

Desired Candidate Profile
  • Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the marine field.
  • Ability to follow work instructions from clients, supervisors, and managers.
  • GMDSS operator’s certificate is desirable.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • A valid GCC driving license is an added advantage.
