Job summary

Vacuum Truck Rentals, LLC is seeking a full-time Equipment Repair Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related equipment in our Chester, VA office. Occasional travel may be required. We offer an excellent benefits package, generous paid time off, and 401(k) with matching.

Candidates should have mechanical knowledge, experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and be able to read schematics. CDL preferred or training provided on hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related equipment.

• Process work order requests including parts orders and requests.

Job Location: VA Chester - Chester , VA 23836 Salary Range: $20.00 - $40.00 Hourly

Vacuum Truck Rentals, LLC, is one of the largest vacuum truck rental companies in the U.S. with a fleet of more than 1000 pieces of equipment and 19 locations nationwide. With a strong emphasis on the customer experience and a 24/7 service guarantee, we are seeking an experienced full-time Equipment Repair Technician/Mechanic in our office.

Key Job Functions

• Diagnose and repair vacuum trucks, tankers, and related equipment
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Work with diesel engines, pumps, and vacuum systems
• Process work order requests including parts orders and requests
• Other duties as assigned

Occasional travel required.

Hourly pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred. If a candidate does not have a CDL upon hiring, Vacuum Truck Rentals will facilitate this training.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and read schematics
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Experience as a diesel or heavy truck mechanic
• Vacuum truck repair experience a plus - willing to train the right candidate.
• Candidates must provide all hand tools up to 1 and ½ inch along with ancillary tools to do diesel repair. Specialty and oversized tools provided.
• Certified Diesel Mechanics preferred.
