Job summary

RideNow Powersports-Tallahassee is seeking a reliable Marine Technician to join our hands-on service team. You’ll repair marine craft, perform inspections, diagnose engine issues, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.

As a mentor to newer technicians, you’ll share knowledge, attend training, and contribute to a collaborative shop culture. This on-site, full-time position offers competitive hourly pay, medical/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance,

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with marine engines (Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo or similar)
• Demonstrates safety-first mindset
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to attend training and certification classes

Responsibilities

• Inspect and recommend service and/or repair for marine craft
• Diagnostics and repairs on marine engines and equipment
• Quality control of repairs performed by other technicians
• Ensure repairs follow manufacturers’ guidelines, safety procedures and company policies

Description and Responsibilities

RideNow Powersports-Tallahassee is looking for a reliable and motivated Marine Technician to join our team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll be responsible for the repairs on marine craft.

• Perform inspections and make recommendations for service and/or repair
• Perform diagnostics and repairs of all types on marine engines and equipment;
• Perform quality control of repairs done by any technician at service department;
• Ensure all repairs are done according to manufacturers’ guidelines, safety procedures and company policies;
• Attend training seminars and certification classes as needed;
• Be a mentor for aspiring but less experienced technicians;
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience with Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo or other engines
• Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted
