Job summary

IRT Living in Riverview, FL is seeking a Service Technician to efficiently complete service requests and keep residents satisfied. You’ll apply plumbing, electrical, and HVAC know-how while building strong relationships with residents and teammates in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or related fields.
• EPA I & II and CPO certifications preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally; move items up/downstairs with equipment.
• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must attend a company paid, multi-day, out-of-state training within 2 weeks of start date.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and complete repairs including plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, and more.
• Conduct daily inspections of property grounds, buildings, and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Assist with apartment turns, including painting, repairs, and general unit preparation for new residents.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are organized and in good condition.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and building codes.
• Communicate effectively with residents and team members to provide excellent service.
• Assist in emergency situations, including after-hours calls, as part of an on-call rotation.
