Job summary

AHW LLC in Dwight, IL seeks an experienced on-site service technician to diagnose and repair agricultural and turf equipment. You will perform complex diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, often with guidance from a Service Manager.

Responsibilities include interacting with customers, documenting on work orders, promoting service programs, stocking coordination, and maintaining safety and vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience performing on-site service repairs.
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance using technical manuals and special tools.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in agricultural/turf equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex on-site diagnostics and repairs on agricultural/turf equipment and AMS products.
• Participates in required Service EDUCATE Training programs.
• Supports customer clinics.
• Reviews and explains maintenance/repair concerns directly to the customer and documents on the work order.
• Promotes and sells dealer service programs directly to customers.
• Establishes stocking processes with Parts Department to maintain seasonal inventory.
• Keeps knowledge of John Deere and competitive products up to date.
• Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Follows all safety rules and company safety program.
• Completes all reports and forms required for work assignments.
• Accounts for all time and materials used.
• Maintains safe working environment at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Performs complex on-site diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and/or turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
• Participates in required Service EDUCATE Training programs
• Supports customer clinics
• Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order
• May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers
• May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicle
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
• Maintains a safe working environment and adheres to company safety program at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience performing on-site service repairs
• Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
• Advanced or Master Service Technician certification preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required

Pay Range: $21.00 - $48.00 per hour. Eligible for Technician Performance program in addition to hourly rate.
