Job summary

C & B Operations is seeking a John Deere Service Tech for our Jackson, Minnesota location. You will diagnose, service, and repair agricultural equipment for customers and dealers, while maintaining safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field preferred.
• Ability to meet physical demands including sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing and pulling.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of repair methods for machinery, engines and related equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work overtime.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
• Promotes and sells the service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts
• Completes all job notes and uses digital timecard for hours and materials
• Follows safety procedures and works in a safe manner
• Assists with other duties as assigned

Job description

C & B Operations has grown over 35 years to include 38 John Deere dealerships in six states. We currently have an opening for a John Deere Service Tech for our location in Jackson, Minnesota. This individual will perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural equipment.

Qualifications:

• Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field, preferred
• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of machinery, engines and other related equipment
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability for critical thinking and resourcefulness to complete tasks
• Willingness to learn and train in new technologies
• Ability to work overtime to meet customer demands
• Valid Drivers License and a safe driving record
