Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Service Technician.
  • Fundamentals of A/C electrical circuits and low-voltage D/C electrical circuits.
  • Hands-on experience with controls platforms (Siemens, Distech, JCI, Inet).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and software.

Service Technician IV - Controls

The Service Technician IV – Controls will manage advanced controls installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Manage advanced controls installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.
  • Diagnose system performance through observation, testing, and setup as required by trade/position. Perform planned maintenance and inspections as indicated in the service agreement. Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment proficiently.
  • Execute service contracts, quoted projects, and demand service calls as instructed, cultivating lasting relationships with clients and ensuring customer satisfaction by explaining the work done and maintaining clear communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Serve as a lead and front‑line resource to service technicians through technical support. Coordinate the work of subcontractors and provide training and guidance to technicians.
  • Participate in an on‑call standby rotation as dictated by business unit policies and procedures.
  • Complete documentation of invoicing, commissioning, and check‑out data based on hours worked and materials or equipment used.
  • Safely drive a motor vehicle and trailer, following company vehicle driving policy and all safety requirements.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory stock on the service vehicle.
  • Purchase materials and issue purchase orders to suppliers. Use technology/software to create and modify programming such as graphics, databases, and sequences.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum).
  • Preferred: Two‑year technical degree in a related field.
  • Preferred: Tridium AX/N4, Distech, Siemens, and Siemens Desigo Certification.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Service Technician.
  • Fundamentals of A/C electrical circuits and low‑voltage D/C electrical circuits and operation.
  • Hands‑on experience with one or more controls platforms (Siemens, Distech, JCI, Inet, etc.).
  • Access controls and lighting controls installation and programming skills.
  • Advanced controls programming and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and device data sheets.
  • Ability to use test and metering devices.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and software.
  • Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication capability.
  • Demonstrates strong business ethics at all times.
