Job summary

Corvant is seeking a Service Technician III to install, service, and maintain a range of commercial HVAC systems. The role emphasizes inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance across data centers, healthcare, manufacturing, and education facilities.

The successful candidate will have 10+ years of HVAC experience, EPA certification, OSHA 10, a valid driver's license, and strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with start-up/commissioning experience and adherence to building codes.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience: 10+ years in commercial/industrial systems.
• Expertise in installation, inspection, repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of leak detection, evacuation, charging, and air quality systems.
• Experience with start-up/commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Ability to read building codes and regulations for installation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
• Clean, adjust, and repair systems.
• Perform emergency repairs promptly.
• Provide high level customer service.
• Participate in NCCER Curriculum.

Job Description

The Service Technician III is responsible for completing installation, service, and maintenance on various commercial HVAC systems. Must have experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenances for a variety of commercial equipment.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Approaching every opportunity with a learning mindset.
• Provide high level customer service.
• Actively participate in NCCER Curriculum.
• Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of air duct distribution systems, commercial and industrial.
• Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.

Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Ability to follow and communicate instructions and directions both verbally and written.
• Mastery of HVAC components and terminology.
• Experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment
• Experience w/ HVAC systems start-up/commissioning
• Working knowledge of HVAC concepts related to leak detection, evacuation, recovery, charging, heath pumps and air quality systems,
• Working knowledge of service tools and testing devices
• Ability to follow and communicate instructions and directions both verbally and written.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma Required. Technical school preferred.
• OSHA 10 Preferred
• EPA Certified
• Valid Drivers' License
• Minimum 10 plus years of HVAC experience required.

Physical requirements

• Required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
• Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
