Job description

Position

A Service Technician II at Billingsley Collection plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, appearance, and functionality of the properties. The position requires a versatile individual capable of performing a range of maintenance tasks and ensuring the overall well-being of the community.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Work safely and use proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  2. Maintain property curb appeal
  3. Assist and perform all aspects of the property’s maintenance, including grounds, housekeeping, preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance.
  4. Interior common area and exterior maintenance
  5. Work may include accessing flats or low slope roofs, attics, crawl spaces and use of ladders
  6. Manage recycling and trash, including trash enclosures and compactor rooms
  7. Assist with weather-related cleanup, including snow and ice management
  8. Amenity and common area cleaning
  9. Uphold appearance grounds and common areas
  10. Perform make-ready, including cleaning and painting (full and touch-up painting interior walls, exterior walls, doors, etc.)
  11. Perform light audits and light bulb replacement
  12. Maintain and inspect shop, storerooms, equipment, and golf carts
  13. Attend associate meetings, safety meetings, and required training
  14. Assist at other communities as requested
  15. Clean, vacuum & balance pools
  16. Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
  1. EPA certification
  2. Willingness to learn and grow from Supervisor and trainings offered through Billingsley
  3. Fundamentals of mechanical systems
  4. Able to organize, prioritize and plan your day
  5. Common use of computer skills; and able to use a smart phone (Yardi Mobile app)
  6. Ability to use hand tools normally used in construction, maintenance and landscaping including all chemicals associated with maintenance and landscaping essential job functions.
  7. Ability to properly utilize hand and power tools including but not limited to circular saw, power drill, bench grinder, hedge trimmer, key machine, paint sprayer and power floor cleaner
  8. Ability to use motorized vehicles/golf cart
  9. Able to work on call shifts, overtime, and weekend hours
  10. Willingness to wear company-provided uniform during working hours.
Physical Requirements
  1. Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  2. Ability to climb ladders, step stools, etc.
  3. Ability to enter confined spaces
  4. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
