Job summary

Westminster Management is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to keep our communities safe, functional, and welcoming for residents. You’ll handle repairs, painting, and preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the property team to plan larger projects.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of maintenance or handyman experience, knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of property maintenance, handyman work, or related field.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Comfort with work order systems and keeping accurate task records.
• Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Be the on‑site Fix‑It Pro, handling repairs from plumbing to electrical work and appliance maintenance.
• Perform painting, carpentry and general upkeep to keep properties presentable.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies; participate in rotating on‑call.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems in top condition.
• Collaborate with property management to prioritize repairs and plan larger projects.

• Be the Fix‑It Pro! Handle a wide range of repairs, from plumbing and electrical work to HVAC and appliance maintenance. Complete make‑readies for incoming residents.
• Keep it Pretty! Ensure the property looks its best by completing painting, carpentry, and general upkeep tasks.
• Tackle Emergencies! Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies with confidence and efficiency. Be able to work a rotating on‑call schedule for emergencies.
• Stay Ahead! Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems in top shape.
• Collaborate! Work with the property management team to prioritize repairs and plan for larger projects.
• Wow Residents! Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance concerns quickly and professionally.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• Experience: 1-3 years of property maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
• Skills: Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs. Certifications are a plus!
• License: A valid Driver's License!
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using work order systems or mobile apps to track tasks.
• Physical: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
• Attitude: Problem‑solving mindset, great attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Customer Focus: A friendly and professional approach to working with residents and team members.
