Kenco Logistics is seeking a Service Technician II to perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on all fleet equipment, automated systems, and conveyors. You will schedule PMs, report on status, and work with site managers to meet timelines and quality goals.

The role requires 2–4 years of mechanic experience, ability to diagnose electrical/mechanical issues, and proficiency with OEM software.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or tech school graduate required.
  • 2-4 years of mechanic experience with material handling equipment.
  • ASE Certification preferred; electrical journeyman certification preferred.
  • Electrical and pneumatic experience preferred; able to read schematics.
  • Proficient with email, work order software, and mobile apps.
  • Ability to safely operate lift trucks and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to maintenance roles.

Responsabilités

  • Schedule Planned Maintenance (PM) for fleet equipment and keep PM records.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on MHE, batteries, conveyors.
  • Communicate equipment status and timelines to site managers and operations.
  • Aim for 80% technician efficiency or 100% PM completion monthly.
  • Inspect equipment and safety devices for OSHA and site compliance.
  • Access OEM software and manuals to diagnose and repair issues.
  • Coordinate parts and maintain repair records with Parts team.
  • Maintain organized workspace following 5S methodology.
  • Travel ~25% and interact professionally with customers.

Join a company where your contributions help move the world forward—one shipment at a time.About the PositionService Technician II is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance with all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), automated systems, and conveyors involving all customers and vendors of Kenco Fleet Services.FunctionsResponsible for scheduling Planned Maintenance (PM) of all Fleet Services Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, and keeping updated records of PM's completed.Performs corrective repairs and preventive maintenance on MHE, batteries, automated systems and conveyors in accordance with site and original equipment manufacturer standards.Maintains regular communication with site managers, supervisors, and operations leaders regarding equipment status, service requirements, project timelines, work progress, delays, or obstacles that may impact operations or customer commitmentsMeet or exceed established performance metrics including service response times, first-time fix rates, and preventive maintenance completion schedulesManage equipment condition and support repair readiness by reporting damage, coordinating required parts, and maintaining accurate service and inventory records.Communicate with Parts team on parts and supplies needed to maintain equipment.Maintain parts inventory and repair records for all equipment by completing accurate paperwork.Access and navigate original equipment manufacturer (OEM) software platforms to perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and equipment programmingUse OEM software, service manuals, wiring diagrams, and parts schematics to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform required adjustments or replacements.Achieve and maintain minimum 80% technician efficiency or 100% PM completion monthly by maximizing billable work hours relative to total available work timeConducts routine inspections of equipment and safety devices to ensure compliance with OSHA, facility, and manufacturer standards.Understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations applicable to material handling equipment, industrial maintenance, and field service operations.Must interact with customers and coworkers in a professional manner.Responsible for general cleanliness of service area always.Conduct thorough monthly inspections of assigned service vehicle or shop workspace according to company checklist and scheduleMaintain organized, clean, and efficient workspace in service vehicle or shop area following 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)Knowledge of customer facility-specific safety requirements, site access protocols, and contractor safety orientation proceduresSupport the Kenco Operating System by identifying ways to work more safely, efficiently, and effectively, and sharing ideas that help the team and company get betterQualificationsHigh school diploma, G.E.D. or tech school graduate required.2-4 years of mechanic experience; preferably prior experience with repair and maintenance of material handling equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, or similar equipment.ASE Certification preferred.
