Job summary

A leading provider of food equipment services is seeking a service technician to troubleshoot and repair commercial food equipment. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, along with 2-4 years of relevant electrical and mechanical experience. What You’ll Do / responsibilities
  • Work with customers to electrically/mechanically troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial food equipment to include cooking, food preparation, ware washers, weigh wrap, baking and refrigeration.
  • Typically leave from home each morning and work with minimal direct supervision at customer sites.
  • Meet or surpass weekly productivity and customer-oriented goals while maintaining a high level of customer service.
What You’ll Bring To The Table / qualifications
  • An accredited High School Diploma or GED and 2-4 years of similar electrical/mechanical experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive multiple hours daily
  • Ability to work Overtime and On-Call as required
  • Ability to attend our industry leading training at our corporate headquarters in Troy, OH

  • Lift up to 75 lbs with or without assistance
  • Climb up to 10 ft with an A-frame ladder
  • Occasional roof access may be necessary through extension ladders or fixed ladders greater than 20 feet
  • Extensive walking 3-5 miles / day
  • Extensive driving 5-6 hours/day
  • Kneel, squat, bend, push/pull; move in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
  • Operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment and/or power tools
Working Conditions
  • Office facility and customer facilities (including commercial kitchens of various types of businesses)
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet dirty conditions may occur
  • Travel requirement up to 50% of time
Hours of Work
  • Normal business hours with occasional/frequent/extended hours as needed
  • Flexibility with schedule to meet critical deadlines
  • Extended hours may include nights and/or weekends
