Job summary

Corvant is seeking a Service Technician I to perform installation, service and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems. You will work with an experienced technician to meet customers’ HVAC needs with integrity.

This position requires travel as necessary. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Understanding of HVAC components and terminology.
• Experience with inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Ability to perform a maintenance independently.
• Experience with HVAC system start-up/commissioning.
• Basic knowledge of entry-level HVAC concepts (electricity, air distribution, troubleshooting, soldering/brazing).
• Working knowledge of service tools and testing devices.
• Ability to follow and communicate instructions verbally and in writing.

The Service Technician I is responsible for completing installation, service and maintenance on various commercial HVAC systems. Working seamlessly with an experienced technician, while meeting our customers’ HVAC needs with Integrity. This position requires travel as necessary.

• Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults for HVAC systems.

Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Basic knowledge of entry-level HVAC concepts such as basic electricity, air distribution systems, basic troubleshooting, soldering/brazing, etc
• High School Diploma or GED/associate degree or certification preferred
• Working knowledge of service tools and testing devices
• Ability to follow and communicate instructions and directions both verbally and written.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma Required. Technical school preferred.
• EPA Certified
• Valid Drivers’ License//
• Minimum two years of HVAC experience required.

Physical requirements

• Required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
• Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
