Job summary

Kenco Fleet Services is seeking a Service Technician I in Kansas to perform maintenance on material handling equipment, automated systems, and conveyors. You will schedule PMs, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure accurate service records while maintaining a safe and organized work area.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 0–2 years of mechanic experience, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Travel up to 25% is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling preferred.
• 0–2 years of mechanic experience; experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and conveyors preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple equipment types.
• Able to read electrical and hydraulic system schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MHE, batteries, automated systems and conveyors per OEM standards.
• Schedule and document Planned Maintenance (PM) for all fleet equipment and update PM records.
• Create and process work orders in the maintenance management system.
• Troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, transmissions, and conveyors using manuals and diagrams.
• Coordinate with Parts to obtain needed parts and maintain inventory and records.
• Conduct safety equipment tests to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop following 5S principles and support KPI targets.
