Job summary

Westminster is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to keep our Jersey City properties safe, functional, and welcoming. You’ll perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances, and prepare units for new residents.

You’ll also handle painting, carpentry, and routine upkeep, while responding to maintenance requests and emergencies. A valid driver’s license and hands-on problem-solving help you thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years in property maintenance or related field.
• Skills: Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs.
• License: A valid Driver’s License.
• Tech: Comfortable using work order systems or mobile apps to track tasks.
• Physical: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders.
• Attitude: Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, responsibility.
• Customer focus: Friendly and professional with residents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Be the Fix-It Pro handling repairs from plumbing/electrical to HVAC and appliance maintenance.
• Keep the property attractive with painting, carpentry and upkeep tasks.
• Tackle emergencies and respond to maintenance requests; on‑call rotation.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment and systems in top shape.
• Collaborate with property management to prioritise repairs and plan for larger projects.

• Wow Residents! Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance concerns quickly and professionally.

What You'll Bring to the Team:

• Experience: 1-3 years of property maintenance, handyman work, or a related field.
• Skills: Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and appliance repairs. Certifications are a plus!
• License: A valid Driver’s License!
• Tech Savvy: Comfortable using work order systems or mobile apps to track tasks.
• Physical: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
• Attitude: Problem‑solving mindset, great attention to detail, and a strong sense of responsibility.
