Job summary

Mr. Handyman of St Charles Co and Chesterfield Valley is seeking a Service Technician in Saint Peters, MO. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain home and commercial systems, while delivering the Mr. Handyman standard of quality and customer service.

The role requires dependable, detail‑oriented professionals who can work independently or with a team, bring own tools, have a valid license, and communicate in English. Typical hours are Mon–Fri 8am–5pm with potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• Punctuality and dependable work ethic with neat appearance.
• Empathy, strong listening and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• 8 years service technician experience in home repair or maintenance.
• Own tooling to perform tasks and diagnose issues.
• Proficient use of diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and tools.
• Clear written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to perform physical duties (lift, bend, kneel, etc.).
• Willingness to adhere to set business hours (M–F 8am–5pm).
• Comfort reading maps/navigation for territory coverage.

Responsibilities

• Identify and diagnose issues with equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Repair, replace, or restore faulty components to proper working condition.
• Inspect work in customers’ homes or businesses to ensure quality.
• Manage customer relations, payments, invoicing, and documentation using iPads.
• Ensure safety compliance and use of personal protective equipment.
• Follow policies and participate in safety and quality improvements.
• Implement preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and future issues.
