Salary: $25 to $30 per hour, based on education and experience.

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt - Monday through Friday

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy construction or forestry equipment in the shop.
• Possess strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Implement root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Service Advisor and Service Manager to provide machine information, including make/model, serial number, hour meter reading, parts used, and notify of additional repairs needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience as a service technician or mechanic in heavy equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing issues on equipment such as John Deere, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Case CE.
• Knowledge of engine, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including electrical diagrams.
• Basic tools of the trade.
• Proficiency with laptops and software like Microsoft Office and Internet.
• Ability to work flexible hours and in demanding environments.
• Effective communication skills and problem-solving ability with minimal assistance.
