Job summary

IRT Living at Talison Row on Daniel Island in Charleston, SC is seeking a Service Technician to promptly complete service requests across plumbing, electrical, appliances and HVAC, while delivering excellent resident service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include daily inspections of property grounds and units, assisting with apartment turns, keeping tools and work areas organized, and supporting on-call emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in property maintenance or related fields.
• EPA I & II and CPO certifications preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs regularly and up to 80 lbs occasionally; move items up/down stairs and push/pull up to 200 lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and complete repairs including plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, and more.
• Conduct daily inspections of property grounds, buildings, and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
• Assist with apartment turns, including painting, repairs, and general unit preparation for new residents.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are kept organized and in good condition.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures, building codes, and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with residents and team members to provide excellent customer service.
• Assist in emergency situations, including after-hours calls, as part of an on-call rotation.
• Contribute to a supportive and engaging employment culture.
