Job summary

Tulley Automotive Group, Inc. in Nashua, NH is hiring Automotive Technicians to diagnose problems, perform maintenance, and repair vehicles for our clients.

You will work with dealership-standard procedures and manufacturer specifications to ensure quality service. The role requires ASE certification or the ability to attain it, a valid driver's license, and solid teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle systems per standards.
  • Performs repairs and maintenance as listed on repair orders.
  • Conducts maintenance procedures (oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations).
  • Tests components and systems with diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Provides time estimates for additional repairs.
  • Executes warranty repairs per manufacturer specifications.
  • Suggests additional services as necessary.
  • Performs test drives as needed.
  • Performs state vehicle inspections.
  • Communicates with Service Advisor/Dispatcher about needed work.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Automotive Technicians are responsible for diagnosing problems with vehicles, performing maintenance, and repairs on our client’s cars that come in for service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning;
  • Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards;
  • Performs maintenance procedure, including oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, etc.;
  • Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment;
  • Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs;
  • Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications;
  • Suggest other services or repairs as necessary;
  • Performs test drives as needed;
  • State-regulated vehicle inspections;
  • Communicates directly with the Service Advisor and/or Service Dispatcher so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed;
  • Performs other related duties consistent with the role; this does not preclude management from assigning additional, though unrelated, duties.

Required Education / Experience / Certifications
  • Valid Driving License and acceptable Driving Record History;
  • Acceptable Background Record;
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques;
  • Current ASE certification, or ability to attain certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects like engines, transmissions, tires, parts, etc. (up to 50 pounds);
  • Fine motor skills, such as manipulating small parts, using hand tools, and working with precision;
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and climb to access various parts of a vehicle;
  • Visual acuity for identifying problems, reading gauges, and working with small parts;
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and reaching.
