Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. is seeking a Service Technician for 2nd shift to perform service and maintenance on gas engines and to uphold a high level of customer service.

You will diagnose issues, overhaul engines, and source parts while documenting detailed service reports for the coordinator and supervisor. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of engine repair experience and a willingness to learn; preferred experience with CAT ET or similar diagnostics, and a background in Diesel Technology

• Strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will include, but will not be limited to:

• Diagnose problems with engines using a variety of methods and tools.
• Overhaul/Repair various engines.
• Identify and source any parts required for repair or service.
• Complete a detailed service report to provide to the Service Coordinator and Service Supervisor.
• Clean and paint engines as necessary to complete the job.

Qualifications

To be considered for a position as a Service Technician, you should have:

• A minimum of 2-5 years of engine repair experience.
• Highly motivated and able to learn new tasks, processes, and policies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience using CAT ET or similar electronic diagnostics tool.
• Experience writing detailed service reports on internal/external customer equipment.
• High School Diploma or Vocational College degree in some of the following areas:
  • Diesel Technology
  • Welding Technology
