Job summary

Canteen North America is seeking a hands-on technician to repair, maintain, and assist in the installation of vending machines at our Gainesville, FL sites.

The role involves responding to service calls, inspecting and repairing equipment, and assisting with installations. Training is provided; prior experience is not required. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is included.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company-owned vehicle.
• Visit customers to assess service needs and resolve complaints.
• Visually inspect machines to diagnose malfunctions and dismantle when needed.
• Inspect parts for wear or misalignment; replace or repair as required.
• Manage inventory, order parts, and maintain equipment stock.
• Prepare machines for installation and assist with installations/removals.
• Operate mechanical tools and equipment for machine repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Repairs, maintains, and assists in the installation of vending machines and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatch calls for machine repairs using company‑owned vehicle.
• Call on existing customers to determine adequacy of service, listen to, and resolve service complaints.
• Visually inspect and listen to machines to determine causes of malfunctions; dismantle machines to access problem areas.
• Inspect parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems; remove and replace worn or defective parts; repair broken parts; realign and adjust components; test machine operation after repair.
• Review inventory, order parts, ship and receive machines, and maintain equipment inventory.
• Prepare machines for installation at accounts; assist in installations and removals.
• Set up and operate mechanical equipment and small hand tools (e.g., drills, grinders, welding torches) for machine repair.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience is not necessary.

Willing to undergo training.

Compensation

Hourly pay: $17.00 – $18.00.
