Job summary

Komatsu's Kilgore, TX location is seeking a Field Service Technician to service mining equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems and test repaired machinery to ensure performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
• Work in a diverse team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, service and inspection of mining equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Adjust, repair or replace defective parts and systems at customer sites.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Experience with motor controls, circuits, schematics, PLCs, digital drives and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge to align couplings on motors, transfer cases and gearboxes.
• Must have experience with Dragline heavy equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, service and inspection of the mining equipment
• Able to diagnose Mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical systems
• Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
• Test the repaired equipment for proper performance
• Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a one year technical college education.
• Experience with motor controls, circuit's installations, reading and understanding schematics, PLC's, Digital Drives and general troubleshooting
• Knowledge on how to align couples on motors, transfer cases and gearboxes
• Must have experience with Dragline heavy equipment.

Additional Information

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $$28.00 - $38.00. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
