Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the Fort Meade, FL location. The role focuses on maintenance, repair, service and inspection of mining equipment at customer sites.

Candidates should have dragline experience and be able to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, with a background equivalent to an accredited apprenticeship or one-year technical college.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a one year technical college education.
• Experience with motor controls, circuit's installations, reading and understanding schematics, PLC's, Digital Drives and general troubleshooting

Responsibilities

• Dragline experience
• Able to diagnose Mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical systems
• Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
• Test the repaired equipment for proper performance

Key Job Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair, service and inspection of the mining equipment
• Dragline experience
• Able to diagnose Mechanical, Hydraulic and electrical systems
• Adjust, repair or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
• Test the repaired equipment for proper performance

• Knowledge on how to align couples on motors, transfer cases and gearboxes
• Must have experience with Dragline heavy equipment.

Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
• Work in a diverse team environment
