Job summary

Kenly 95 is hiring a Service Technician for our Kenly, NC service center. This full-time role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to service needs with on-site training provided.

Starting pay is $17 per hour with overtime opportunities. We provide a tool and boot allowance, company vehicle for job use, equipment including JPRO diagnostics, health insurance options, paid time off, and ASE certifications paid by the company.

Qualifications

• No prior technician experience required; on-site training provided.
• Driver's license and clean driving record required to operate company vehicle.
• Mechanical mindset with ability to learn diagnostics and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on diesel trucks and 18-wheelers.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and oil changes.
• Respond to service calls and urgent repair needs to minimize downtime.
• Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify problems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Complete quality repairs while following safety and service standards.
• Communicate with customers, drivers, and management.

Ready for a hands-on career where every day brings a new challenge? Join the TA Service Center team at Kenly 95 as a Service Technician and work on diesel trucks, 18-wheelers, and a wide variety of mechanical repairs.

You’ll diagnose problems, perform preventative maintenance, respond to service needs, and gain valuable technical experience through on-site training. No prior technician experience is required - we will train the right candidate.

Requirements

As a Service Technician, you’ll help keep drivers moving by diagnosing and repairing diesel truck issues safely and efficiently.

SCHEDULE

Full-Time

4 PM - 12 AM

Thursday - Monday OR Friday - Tuesday

Our service center operates 24 hours, providing a variety of available hours and opportunities for overtime.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a dependable, mechanically minded problem solver who takes pride in quality work and is ready to learn.

• Experience: No prior technician experience required. We provide on-site training.
• Driver's License: A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required to operate a company vehicle.
• Mechanical Mindset: Ability to learn diagnostic tools, read schematics, and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Independent Worker: You can work safely and effectively with minimal supervision.
• Physical Ability: Must be comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs. and performing hands-on mechanical work.
• Screening Requirements: Must successfully complete a physical, background check, DMV check, and drug screen.
