Job Summary:
SimplyHome is actively seeking a Service Technician. This position will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing home maintenance issues within our SimplyHome single-family, townhomes, and multi-family residences. Service Technicians with SimplyHome are expected to maintain a high level of customer service and have a desire to achieve customer satisfaction.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Having knowledge and ability to perform home maintenance tasks. (interior and exterior)
- Ability to diagnose complex home maintenance issues.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Additional responsibilities and exceptions may include emergency maintenance tasks (for example natural disasters).
- Keep up to date notes and documentation on each workorder with within our property management software.
- Ensure and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction to be measured by resident surveys upon completion of each work order.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
- Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
- Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.

- Must have a valid driver license and clean driving record (including toll tags) for the last 5 years.
Education and Experience:
- High school graduation or GED equivalent.
- Property Management software experience a plus
- Strong background with either home warranty, motor home or multifamily residential repairs.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Ability to lift 50lbs and walk up and downstairs.
- Up to 25% of travel may be required.
