SERVICE TECHNICIAN - COMMERCIAL HVAC/R
Glassboro, NJ

AA Ducektt, an Elliott-Lewis company, is seeking HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning), HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning and Refrigeration), Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), and Refrigeration technicians to perform routine preventive maintenance, service, and minor repairs on commercial units. We welcome both union and non-union applicants.

We are industry leaders in HVAC/R installations, air conditioning service, maintenance, major appliance repairs, electrical, and plumbing services for commercial clients (no residential).

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite repair, maintenance, and testing tasks.
• Produce detailed and timely service reports.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and refrigeration circuits related to air conditioning, refrigeration, and ice-making equipment.
• Diagnose and repair minor plumbing and appliance issues.
• Service hot water heaters, chillers, valves, and water flow devices.
• Service various types of compressors.
• Install, service, and repair control systems, both analog and digital, including programming.

Required Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Technical experience through apprenticeship, trade school, or prior work.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Type II EPA certification.
• Chiller troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge.
• Familiarity with DC controls, pneumatics, and air handling units (examples include Aaon, Munters, Carrier).
• Ability to work standby after hours on a rotational basis.

Preferred Skills (Not Mandatory)

• State Class A or mechanical license.
• Management experience.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, lifting up to 75 lbs, pushing/pulling 40-75 lbs, working at heights, exposure to temperature extremes, operating motorized equipment.
• Occasional standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, working overhead, ladder work, exposure to high noise levels.
