Job summary

BRAM Auto Group’s Lexus of Manhattan and Toyota of Manhattan are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician for full-time work in New York, NY. You will diagnose malfunctions, service vehicles, perform test drives, and document all work while maintaining a clean, safe shop environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of technician experience.
• Engine/Transmission/Suspension/Diagnostics experience.
• Toyota/Lexus technician experience preferred.
• Must have New York State inspection license.
• ASE certification preferred.
• CDK and Dealer Daily experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs per repair orders.
• Inspect vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required and notify the advisor.
• Perform routine maintenance and lubrication of suspension and moving parts.
• Document all work performed.
• Road-test and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Keep customer vehicles clean.
• Maintain neat shop and account for tools.
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations for hazardous waste disposal.
• Maintain factory/state certification requirements.
• Attend factory-sponsored training as required.

We are looking for an experienced (A/B), Automotive Service Technician for our Lexus& Toyota of Manhattan Dealerships!

Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required and then notifies service advisor
• Responsible for vehicle maintenance and proper lubrication of a car’s suspension system and other moving parts.
• Responsible for documenting all work performed
• Road-tests vehicles when required Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Ensures cleanliness of all customers vehicles
• Keeps shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools
• Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Complies with factory and state requirements for technical certifications
• Attends factory-sponsored training classes as required

What We Are Looking For:

• 3-5+ previous Technician experience (dealership preferred)
• Engine (Repair, Swap, Build), Transmission, Suspension, Diagnostics experience
• Toyota/Lexus Technician experience preferred
• MUST HAVE NEW YORK STATE INSPECTON LICENSE
• ASE CERTIFIED PREFERRED
• CDK & Dealer Daily experience a plus
