Job Summary:

The Service Technician Assistant supports our Pool and Spa Installer in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pool and spa systems. This includes assisting with equipment such as heathers, pumps, filters, fittings, and plumbing components. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined and looking to build their skills in the pool and spa industry. You’ll work directly with experienced technicians to deliver high-quality service and ensure customer satisfaction.

Primary Duties:

• Assist with the installation of pool and spa equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters.

• Support the assembly and connection of piping, fittings, and valves to ensure proper water flow and filtration.

• Help diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues under the supervision of a technician.

• Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety standards and protocols.

• Assist with transporting and organizing materials, including pool inserts, spas, and fixtures.

• Support routine maintenance and inspection tasks to ensure equipment operates effectively.

• Maintain a clean and organized job site, shop, and work vehicle; properly store tools and equipment after use.

• Follow all company safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and supervisors to ensure smooth job execution.

• Represent Relax & Company well in all interactions.

Skills:

• Mechanical aptitude and an eagerness to learn plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and in outdoor settings.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.

• Professional, clear communication skills (verbal and written).

• Proficiency or willingness to learn basic digital tools (e.g., mobile apps, time tracking, emails).

• Must have a positive attitude and remain accountable and self-motivated.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Technical training in plumbing, HVAC, or electrical systems is a plus but not required

Experience:

• Experience with pool, spa, plumbing, HVAC, or similar mechanical systems is a plus, but not required

Licenses & Certificates:

• Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs with assistance

• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting throughout the workday

• Must be comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions

• Manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination required

• May be exposed to water, chemicals, and equipment noise on job sites
