Job summary

Evergreen Gas Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential systems in the Sherwood, OR area. You will install heating and cooling equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to service calls with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HVAC experience, strong problem‑solving skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC service and troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems.
• Install and service heating equipment, air conditioning systems, thermostats, ventilation equipment, fireplaces, hearth products, and generators.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Respond to service calls and emergency repair requests in a timely manner.
• Ensure all parts, tools, and materials are accounted for and properly stocked.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners and team members.
• Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations.
• Stay current on industry advancements, products, and technology.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
