Nye Ford is actively seeking a reliable Service Technician to join our Oneida, NY service team. A NY State Inspector License is highly preferred, and a clean driving record is required. This full‑time role involves diagnostics, routine maintenance, and state inspections within our well‑equipped shop.

You'll work with experienced colleagues and continue to grow through training and mentorship. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of automotive repair experience, strong knowledge of engines,

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• NY State Inspector License required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience (dealership or Ford experience preferred).
• Working knowledge of engines, brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical systems.
• Experience using diagnostic scanners and repair software.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.
• ASE or Ford certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Mansioni

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns accurately and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, brake services, and fluid checks.
• Inspect and service vehicle systems such as engines, suspension, steering, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Conduct NY State vehicle inspections and document results properly.
• Complete thorough multi‑point inspections and record findings on repair orders.
• Test‑drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality and safety.
• Recommend additional services when needed in a professional, customer‑focused manner.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines, dealership standards, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Stay current with Ford training, tools, and technical updates.
• Support team workflow by collaborating with service advisors and fellow technicians.
