Competenze

Mansioni

• Perform diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
• Carry out maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, HVAC, and other major vehicle systems.

About the Job

Nye Ford is looking for a dependable and knowledgeable ExperiencedService Technician to join our service department. This position is well-suited for someone with a solid background in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance who is ready to take on more challenging responsibilities while continuing to grow in the automotive field. A NY State Inspectors License is required for this role.

Automotive Service Technician Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues

• Carry out scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks

• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, HVAC, and other major vehicle systems

Automotive Service TechnicianQualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Minimum of 3 years professional automotive repair experience (Ford or dealership experience preferred)

• NY State Inspector License required

• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical

• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment, scanners, and repair software

• Ability to follow complex repair procedures with accuracy and attention to detail

• Problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple jobs

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

• ASE or Ford certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
