We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Technician based in Pine Bluff, AR.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Service Technicians maintain outstanding customer service while performing skilled operational duties related to their area of responsibility. This includes manual labor and other duties necessary for the installation, repair, and maintenance of natural gas distribution facilities. They handle customer requests and represent the company in the community.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiate gas service, perform leak investigations, and make repairs
• Locate gas lines
• Read gas meters
• Conduct load surveys
• Complete work order documentation
• Serve as First Responder in emergencies
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Proficient with personal computers and software including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Valid state driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to operate company vehicles safely
• Knowledge of industry and safety standards and regulations
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools such as pressure gauges, voltage meters, pipe locators, and perform leak classification and pressure monitoring
• Customer service skills, courtesy, and good judgment
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to work independently and in teams to achieve objectives
• Commitment to compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies, including completing required training
• Adherence to company values and business practices
• This position is covered under D.O.T. regulations and Summit’s Drug and Alcohol Policy, including random drug testing.
