Arbon Equipment, a Rite-Hite Company, seeks an entry-level Service Technician apprentice to install, maintain, and repair loading dock equipment and industrial doors at customer facilities.

You will work with a senior Technician, learning products and customer interactions in a field service setting while developing the skills to work independently.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; prior mechanical or electrical experience helpful.
• Independently in a field environment; good customer service skills required.
• Work outdoors, at heights, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Pre-employment drug test and clean driving record required; DOT physical may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair loading dock equipment and industrial doors at customer facilities.
• Serve as a technical resource for customers and the sales force.
• Work independently or in small teams in a field service environment; primary customer contact.
• Apprentice works with a senior Technician to learn products and customers.

While this is an entry-level position, some prior mechanical or electrical experience is helpful. Selected candidate must be able to work independently in a field environment. Good customer service skills are required. This position requires the ability to work outdoors, at heights, and lift up to 100 pounds. The number of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus opportunity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of benefits including medical, dental, life, and vision insurance, disability, a 401(k) plan, profit sharing, and PTO/vacation.
