Job summary

Arbon Equipment, a Rite-Hite Company, is seeking an entry-level Service Technician in Windsor, CT. You will install, maintain, and repair loading dock equipment and industrial doors at customer facilities, acting as a technical resource for customers and the sales team.

As an apprentice, you will work closely with a senior Technician, learning products and customers, developing the skills to work independently in the field.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position, some mechanical or electrical experience is helpful.
• Must be able to work independently in a field environment.
• Good customer service skills required.
• Able to work outdoors, at heights, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Driver: pre-employment drug test, clean driving record and a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Rite-HiteService Techniciansinstall, maintain, and repair loading dock equipment and industrial doors at customer facilities. In addition, Service Technicians act as a technical resource for our customers and our sales force. This position works independently or in small teams in a field service environment, and is a primary customer contact. As an apprentice, you will spend the majority of your time working closely with a senior Technician, learning our products and our customers and developing the skills needed to work on your own.

Required Experience:

Rite-Hitesells the best and we hire the best. While this is an entry-level position, some prior mechanical or electrical experience is helpful. Selected candidate must be able to work independently in a field environment. Good customer service skills are required. This position requires the ability to work outdoors, at heights, and lift up to 100 pounds. As this position requires driving a company vehicle, a pre-employment drug test and clean driving record are required, as is a DOT physical.

The hiring range for this position in USA-CT-Windsor is $26.85-$36.90 per hour based on a 40-hour work week. The number of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus opportunity may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of benefits including medical, dental, life, and vision insurance, disability, a 401(k) plan, profit sharing, and PTO/vacation.
